&nb= sp;

Attached= to this memo is a calendar reflecting each student’s specific date for which = they are responsible to give an oral report on a current eve= nt. Current (political) events are significant news events of what is happening= in politics or the government in the United States. &nb= sp;

Two copies of the news article and written summary are to be prepared: one for you,= and one for me while you give your oral report.

&nb= sp;

You will= give an oral report of between 3 and 5 minutes at the beginning of class summarizin= g the news article to your classmates and its importance or relevance to us. If relevant, you will indicate on a wall map where the event takes place (stat= e, city, Washington, <= st1:State w:st=3D"on">D.C., etc.)

On anoth= er sheet of paper is the grading criterion, also known as a rubric, for my expectati= ons for this assignment and for determining the points given.=
